Fireman has officially become a certified firefighter! Yay him! It was a long road, as there were many days he would be gone all day on the weekends and the kids just ached for attention from him. It’s been kind of interesting as my Daddy was a firefighter and at this point that is all SecretAgent talks about wanting to do! He’s all the time asking, “Daddy, when I get big like you, will you help me be a fireman like you and Pop Pop?” Talk about breaking a mama’s heart! So sweet and sincere. Fireman has completely recovered from his infection/surgery and is doing well. No infections since! He rounded out the deer season with 3 deer all of them bucks (little bucks, but bucks none the less.) Despite issues at church he has continued his work with the youth at our church and will continue to do so, knowing that God will work on those “giants” in our way.
SecretAgent is well, SecretAgent. He’s half way through his K3 year and seems to be excelling. Everyday he comes home telling us about the Bible story he learned and a million other things, most of which we don’t exactly understand, but ok. Last weekend we signed him up for T-ball and Fireman will be his coach! He’s so excited and asks me everyday if he can go play t-ball. My grandmother got them an automatic t-ball machine thing for Christmas and he and DareDevil spend hours playing “ball.”
DareDevil is by far the wildest of the brew. He’s into everything and scared of nothing, except a dog maybe! He wants to do everything SecretAgent does and more. He seems to forget his size and age and is fearless. A few weeks ago he busted his eardrum and didn’t even cry…the blood was the only evidence of the event. The doctor was in awe at the fact DareDevil wasn’t crying from pain. It’s a good thing I suppose, but certainly he’s got to feel pain!
Izzy is getting bigger by the day and we actually joke that she is getting fat, but trust me, she is no where near getting fat! She is full of life, always giggling and smiling. She absolutely adores her brothers and when she hears their voices she just lights up. It’s interesting to see how she recognizes all the various people in her life. There are so many more in her life at this age than there was in either of the boys. Izzy even recognizes the youth! Yesterday her brand spankin’ new highchair came in! Love it! She has the best time sitting in it. Just plays and has a good ole time! Izzy is sitting up now (very few stubbles) and is rolling front to back and back to front, but not rolling all over yet. Only time. However, I do not think she will be as fast on her feet as Landon was, and I am ok with that!
To add to the chaos that is our family, at Christmas we got a puppy…yep, I am convinced that I seek out my own punishment! He’s a sweet puppy named, Buck. If only I could teach him to poop outside I would be happy!
The new job is going great. Despite the fact I am not in town everyday, I feel like I have so much more freedom. I am able to focus more on family issues and our home, which should be at the top of my priority list.
So…That’s a Wrap!
